Excellent work Rick!!!
Due to Rick's efforts there is a prominent half page article in The Chronicle (Thursday May 17, page 15) dedicated to the reunion. The article titled "Remembering the heady days of the DDYT" with the bold heading "Theatrical 'teenagers' gather for a reunion" contains a prominent photograph of Rick Ireland, Michelle McIntyre, Jeff Williams and Tony Kyprios set against the backdrop of the Empire Theatre's fabulous stage arch. There is nothing else on the 2 page fold that competes for the reader's attention (unless of course the Huggies Jumbo Nappies @ $31-95 truly gets your motor running:). Rick's contact details have been included with the article so we have the best chance yet of reaching as many of the remaining DDYT members as possible.
With so many local & regional organisations/events/etc competing for media coverage, it is a testament to Rick's media skills that he was able to 'market' our little soirée so successfully. Thanks also to Michelle, Jeff and Tony for taking the time out of their busy schedules to assist Rick. With the enormous effort our organisers Rick and Michelle have put into making this reunion a reality, June 16 will be a hugely successful night!

"Dressed in their fluro body shirts and flared jeans" - what?? - I can't remember that - come to think of it, I wouldn't want to remember that. That explains why I don't remember much - it's not the 30 year gap, it's the mental block I have with wearing a fluro body shirt! Damn, I need grief counselling ... flared jeans and fluro body shirt .. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Sorry!!
I bought a copy of The Chronicle with the article to bring along to the reunion. I've just looked at the page - arghh I've been writing on the page - b@#$%^@!. I'll see if I can get another copy before they are gone but if someone else has a 'pristine' copy, would you mind bringing it along for others to see on the night?
