Michelle has such a magnificent collection of news articles that filling out this series will be a breeze. Alas there has been a sacrifice - a pair of tin snips was needed to extract the material from its bindings, but the consolation will be that they will be rendered into electronic form for Michelle (PhotoDVD & image files) and won't suffer the same ageing processes as the last 30 years.
The first in this series is fittingly a news article in The Chronicle (18th February, 1977) that announces the participants for the 1977 pilot project. The Genesis musical play resulted from this.

Selections for youth theatre project
Names of the young people selected to participate in the Darling Downs Youth Theatre project were announced yesterday. The project is being run by the Queensland Theatre Company.
Of the 42 participants in the main project, there are 19 from Toowoomba, eight from Warwick, six from Oakey, four from Pittsworth and three from Clifton.
